How We Think
Most marketing content is written by people whose business is marketing. We write for leaders at mid-market companies whose business is something else, and who happen to have a marketing operation underneath them that isn’t doing what it should be doing.
Worldview
Where Seafoam takes a position. Long-form arguments on the things most mid-market companies have been told the wrong thing about. These are essays, not articles. They’re what we believe, said clearly enough that you can disagree with us. They run long because the arguments are worth more than a thousand words, and because the mid-market CEOs who find Seafoam tend to read them all the way through, and forward them to a peer. If you’re here because something about your marketing has been bothering you and you can’t name what, start in this lane.
Lens
How we look at a specific question, a metric, a method, a category of work, and what that lens reveals. Lens pieces are less argumentative than Worldview pieces and more practical. They’re the kind of thing you’d read if you have a specific question ("how should I think about CAC?" or "what does 'AI in marketing' actually mean for a mid-market company?") and want a clear, opinionated answer. If you’re here because you have a specific question, start in this lane.

Brief
Short reads. What just happened in marketing, technology, or the broader business landscape, and how it affects mid-market companies. Brief pieces are published when something actually warrants saying, not on a content calendar. Most of what shows up in marketing news is noise; we publish only when a mid-market CEO would benefit from knowing about it. If you’re here because you saw a headline and wonder whether it matters to you, start in this lane.

Seafoam News
Firm news. New hires, recognition, milestones, partnerships. Posted here when something material happens at the firm, not on a cadence. If you’re here because you want to know what’s going on at Seafoam, this is the lane.
