As Seafoam Media’s Copywriter, David Rogers creatively crafts web content for Seafoam Media and it’s client. Through Seafoam Media’s blog, he takes an often confusing subject – like SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing or Design – and paints a picture that helps small business owners see how technology can change their world. Here’s a little bit about David:
If you could have any super power what would it be?
Flight! It’s the obvious answer. Don’t agree with me? Spend a few hours in rush hour traffic and you’ll reconsider.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I’m the most passionate about writing and social media. It’s an incredible feeling knowing someone enjoys your work. I still get extremely excited when I pick up a new follower or when I see someone has shared something I’ve produced.
What apps, software or tools can’t you live without?
I have an unhealthy obsession with Twitter. TweetDeck is almost always open on my computer and I check it regularly on my phone when I’m away from my desk. It’s my primary outlet for news and media. I honestly have no idea how I stayed informed before Twitter.
What do you like to do on your free time?
I play indoor soccer and I obsessively follow hockey. I run a blog about the St. Louis Blues (FrozenNotes.com, check it out!) and I manage several other blogs on the Bloguin network.
What do you like most about working remotely?
I love the freedom to work on projects on my own schedule. My brain is usually still asleep until about 10:00am and I’ve found some of my best work is created late at night. The ability to work on a project outside of normal business hours is a huge plus and I think it’s reflected in the content I produce.
What does your workspace look like?
My dog Watson keeps me good company while I’m working – usually by snoring. Yes, I’m one of those guys that occasionally puts a tie on a dog.
